Fintraffic’s data ecosystem forum acts as the national cooperation forum, which anyone interested in eFTI is welcome to join. EU cooperation takes place in various working groups. Technical matters related to the systems implemented are addressed by the DTLF working group, issues concerning the eFTI common data set by a separate group. The eFTI4EU project, which involves nine EU countries, is developing the eFTI system and piloting its implementation.
Traffic Data Ecosystem – Fintraffic
Fintraffic organises public and open Traffic Data Ecosystem forums, within which multiple open working groups operate. The issues addressed by each working group vary.
The progress of the eFTI project is monitored regularly by working group 4 ‘Logistics information and interfaces’ along with other themes related to the digitalisation of logistics.
Digital Transport and Logistics Forum (DTLF)
The Digital Transport and Logistics Forum, DTLF, is an expert group of the European Commission bringing together public and private stakeholders to support the European Commission in promoting the digital transformation of the transport and logistics sector.
The DTLF’s main areas of work include the eFTI regulation.
DTLF experts help the Commission explore and prepare solutions for the enforcement of the eFTI regulation in four special teams.
eFTI4EU project
In addition to the implementation of the eFTI regulation, Finland is involved in the eFTI4EU project piloting eFTI information systems together with economic operators.
The main objective of the eFTI4EU project is to establish common approaches to implementing the eFTI regulation in the EU. The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is financing the project with a budget of MEUR 28.3.
Nine Member States are participating in the project. As part of the project, a reference architecture is being developed for eFTI data exchange.
